Request deletion of your data

Send an email to anumey2@gmail.com with the subject line “EdgeCase — data deletion request”.

In the email, please include:

  1. Whether you want your advertising data removed, your Android backup copy removed, or both.
  2. Nothing else. Do not send us your advertising ID or any other identifier — we have no database to look it up in, and we do not want a copy of it.

We will action the request and reply to confirm within 30 days. There is no charge, and you do not need to reinstall the app to make a request.

EdgeCase does not have user accounts

EdgeCase has no sign-up, no login and no account of any kind. There is no password, no profile and no username held by Dice Religion, so there is no account for you to delete here and no identity for us to look you up by.

This also means we cannot identify your data even if you ask us to. Everything the app produces is either sitting on your own phone or held by Google under your own Google account — both of which you control directly, and neither of which we can reach. That is why the fastest route is almost always to do it yourself, below.

Anything held by Dice ReligionNothing — we operate no servers and no databaseNothing to deleteNot applicable.

Dice Religion runs no servers, no analytics backend and no database for EdgeCase. Everything the app touches is either stored locally on your device, copied into your own Android backup, or collected directly by Google through the Google Mobile Ads SDK. That is why every route below goes to your device or to Google rather than to us — and why a request to us is, in practice, a request for help using them.

Uninstalling is not quite the whole story

Most apps can honestly say that uninstalling deletes everything. EdgeCase cannot, and the difference is worth two sentences.

EdgeCase deliberately takes part in Android’s backup system, so that reinstalling or moving to a new phone does not silently throw away the shortcut list and settings you spent time arranging. The consequence is that a copy of that configuration exists in your own Google account’s backup, and uninstalling the app does not remove it — if you reinstall later, your setup comes back. The same configuration is also included when you set up a new phone by transferring directly from the old one.

If you want it genuinely gone, do step 1 and step 3 below. If you would rather it never be copied off the device in the first place, turn off backup for this app in Settings → Google → Backup and the situation never arises.

Delete it yourself, right now

You do not have to wait for us. Each of these takes under a minute and takes effect immediately.

  1. Remove everything on your device — uninstall EdgeCase, or go to Settings → Apps → EdgeCase → Storage → Clear data. This erases your shortcut list, the fang’s position and every appearance setting, permanently.
  2. Remove your advertising identifier — go to Settings → Google → Ads on your Android device and choose Delete advertising ID. This stops any app, including EdgeCase, from using it to build an advertising profile.
  3. Remove the backup copy — go to Settings → Google → Backup, or open your Google Drive backups and delete the device backup that contains it. Google documents this at Back up or restore data on your Android device.
  4. Review what Google holds — use your Google Account controls to see and delete activity associated with your account.

What we do with your request

Your email is used for one purpose only: to action and confirm your deletion request. It is never added to a mailing list, never shared and never used for advertising. We delete the correspondence itself once the request is confirmed complete, and in any case within 90 days.

Where the data is held by Google rather than by us, we cannot delete it on your behalf — no third party can. In those cases we will point you to the exact control that does it, and confirm within the same 30 days.

More information

The full EdgeCase Privacy Policy sets out everything the app collects, why, and who it is shared with — including what the overlay permission does and does not allow, and why the app can see which apps you have installed. This page covers deletion only.
